Delta and Vodafone Cooperate on Energy Efficient Telecom Power Systems

Delta Electronics and Vodafone are cooperating towards a green and energy-efficient future together. Delta has improved Vodafone”s standard power supply systems with the introduction of the energy efficient DPR 2900 EnergE telecom power system rectifiers, and thousands of systems have already achieved around 1000 tons of CO2 savings annually in Germany alone.
The delivery quantity since validation in 2010 is now close to 7000 units with zero returns. “Vodafone is committed to developing mobile solutions which enable the smart technologies that can move us all to a low carbon future. At the same time, we are doing all we can to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in our own operations and so we have chosen the energy efficient Delta EnergE DPR 2900 rectifiers for several market areas. The CO2 savings in the German market alone are really significant”, says Heinz Rueterbusch, Vodafone Group”s Manager of Infrastructure and Energy Design.
“We have a strategic partnership with Vodafone in power systems, and we have built that on innovative and energy efficient products with the best possible service. DPR 2900 based installations support our mutual goal to do all our best for a green future. It is an honor for us to cooperate with Vodafone and to be part of the chain that secures reliable telecom services in an environmentally friendly manner”, says Andreas Grewing Delta Key Account Manager for Vodafone.
